lowkey wanna start writing reader inserts on tumblr and/or a writeblr but im small and scared and unsure where to start. any advice?

oh bby ! how exciting ! no need to be scared, we’re literally all just vibing and doing our best. as for advice, these are just things I did but maybe they just won’t work for you! there’s no one way to do these things, remember that :)

personally i keep my fanfic blog and my writeblr separate, because they’re 2 different things and they have different purposes so mixing them doesn’t feel right.

for a fanfic blog, don’t be afraid to self-promote. a lot. maybe start by making a post introducing yourself and who/what you write for, then consider opening requests? i’ve found that that ensures at least Some interaction with posts. obviously numbers don’t matter, but i’m also a writer and i know that having people interact with my stuff makes my day.

remember to write whatever you want. even if you do requests, you are by no means obligated to write every one of them. you do and write exactly what you want !!! the point is for you to have fun !

don’t be scared to interact with other writers as well ! (if you do end up making a fanfic blog/writeblr drop the url in my inbox !!)
