haha hi anon, i'm alive! i just don't post on here anymore and i don't think i really ever will again--my fanfic era is over for now, i'm afraid!

thanks for checking in, though, i really do appreciate it a lot. i still get notifications from this blog every so often, from people liking a fic here and there, and it always makes me smile! this blog was a huge part of my life for a handful of years, it's wild to think that it started out as a collaboration blog with a couple of other blogs who ended up bailing after like a month lmao (zero shade to them btw, we never had any bad blood!)

fanfic really opened the door for me into writing and tumblr and writeblr specifically absolutely changed my life. i met some of my best friends in the world through writing (shoutout to @panda-noosh, who is absolutely 100% the reason why i decided to post my own fanfic in the first place and is pretty much the reason why this blog exists as is), i met my actual honest to god partner of 1.5 years on here through writing, i'm not kidding when i say it changed my life.

i'm leaving this blog up for as long as i'm active on tumblr, i'll still be responding to asks and stuff when i get them, and hey, who knows, maybe i'll have a surge of inspiration one day and post new stuff on here!

that being said, if you wanna keep up with me and my original work, check out my writeblr, @ghostcasket ! i'm not posting a lot of my og writing there atm but i plan to in the future, and that's where you can read the first part of the hallmark christmas boyfriends story and its sequel when i post it. i am very active over there though, so if you feel so inclined, please do come say hi!!

it's me, aticus. i'm very sorry i haven't been online in a while - a long while. life has been, , , , very busy, very tough, very different. i got a promotion at work, which is something i am so thankful for, but it's definitely beaten up my mental health these past few months. i haven't written much of anything, but i'm trying. i'm going to get back into it, because i have plans to be self employed by the new year, and if i want that to happen, i need to get a grip and get to work.

i've missed this little platform, i really have. i remember the days i would spend hours writing a fic, and getting so excited to post it and hear your feedback. i was so, so happy back then, doing exactly what i've always wanted to do. in all honesty, the only reason i stopped was because of pure exhaustion; i still love writing about my favourite characters, and i still go on tumblr every now and then to read your messages. it was one of the only sources of serotonin i was getting at one point, and i am so grateful for all of it.

i'm coming back. i will be posting on here again, maybe not as consistently as i once did, but i won't be disappearing like i did ever again. for my own mental health, it's not worth it. writing and hearing feedback is what makes me happy, makes me feel like my dreams aren't so far out of reach.

i hope you guys are still with me after all this time, because i'm still here, and i'm ready to properly come back and interact with all my writer buddies.

lowkey wanna start writing reader inserts on tumblr and/or a writeblr but im small and scared and unsure where to start. any advice?

oh bby ! how exciting ! no need to be scared, we’re literally all just vibing and doing our best. as for advice, these are just things I did but maybe they just won’t work for you! there’s no one way to do these things, remember that :)

personally i keep my fanfic blog and my writeblr separate, because they’re 2 different things and they have different purposes so mixing them doesn’t feel right.

for a fanfic blog, don’t be afraid to self-promote. a lot. maybe start by making a post introducing yourself and who/what you write for, then consider opening requests? i’ve found that that ensures at least Some interaction with posts. obviously numbers don’t matter, but i’m also a writer and i know that having people interact with my stuff makes my day.

remember to write whatever you want. even if you do requests, you are by no means obligated to write every one of them. you do and write exactly what you want !!! the point is for you to have fun !

don’t be scared to interact with other writers as well ! (if you do end up making a fanfic blog/writeblr drop the url in my inbox !!)

    you wake on the day to witness the palace in hysterics. chefs bustle around like headless chickens, maids and butlers ironing uniforms that have not had a crinkle in them since the war. the scent of food - a cacophany of it - rises to the surface, making you crinkle your nose at the onslaught of different options. all you want is a slice of toast to prepare you for the day, but the thought of walking into that kitchen has you cuddling up in bed for a few minutes longer.

    you’ll have to eat that food pretty soon. just a small bite, just enough to get a taste. a hint.

Fred Weasley is frowning as he walks up to McGonagall’s office, because usually when he gets called to McGonagall’s office it isn’t for biscuits and tea and a friendly little chat. And besides that, he thinks he has a pretty good idea of why he’s called there today.

He knocks on the door and waits until the professor’s voice tells him to come in. When he does, his frown deepens, because McGonagall is accompanied by who might just be his least favourite person in the school.

“Professor, Professor,” he says, giving McGonagall a tight little smile and Snape a controlled glare.

“Sit down, Mr Weasley,” McGonagall tells him, gesturing to the empty chair sat in front of her desk. Fred takes his seat and puts his hands in his lap, for once keeping his mouth shut and waiting.
