After entering his office, Squires discovers a large envelope sitting on his desk.
“I think you’d like to have this!” is written neatly on the outside. It’s signed off with a crude doodle of an axe.
Upon opening the package, he finds a tape.
A series of electrical hums sound out as the internal motor of the cassette player begins to whir. The crackle of audio distortion, of a warbling pitch and tape-saturation, bleeds out from the speakers.
Squires jots something down.
A few minutes pass before the jumble of thick static begins to twist into something more recognizable. A muffled dialogue.
"...wwwe won't be able to help if you if you don't give a clear answer."
His metal chair creaks as leans in closer.
"I... I didn't know..."
The cold of his office couldn't compare to the icy chill of recognition he feels himself plunge into as he realizes something. He knows that voice. His shaking hands fumble with his keys as he unlocks the filing cabinet connected to his desk, retrieving a file under the initials E. M.
"...You can't tell us anything about it? Can you really not see it at all?"
"...no..."
Judging by the line of questioning, the dialogue can be attributed to one of the Foundation's initial interview logs; the first conducted interview following the containment of a new anomaly.
"Could you at least tell us when you first noticed it manifest?"
"...I don't... I don't know."
The shuffling of papers and the scribbling of pen fills each moment of silence the audio log brings.
"Please remain seated, SCP-13998. Do not remove your--"
The crackle of corruption.
"--until instructed to do so."
...
"Please remain seated, SCP-13998. Do not remove your--"
...
"Please remain seated, SCP-13998."
...
The machine clicks as Squires removes the tape, using his pen to rewind it before re-inserting it for the seventeenth time. He shuffles through the substantial pile on his desk, papers ranging from an audio transcription to several pages of jumbled notes he had accumulated over the past few hours. He holds his pen up to his mouth as he absentmindedly mutters to himself.
Authorized Response Level: 1 (Monitor for signs of re-emergence. Do not engage.)
Description: A humanoid threat entity appearing as an adult female, approximately 2.2 meters in height and weighing 90 kg. Object possesses the ability to induce hallucinations upon direct eye contact, causing severe psychological distress. Object does not appear to have any additional capabilities.
Rules for Engagement: Eye contact should be avoided at all costs. If encountered, object is to be destroyed upon contact.
History: KTE-1206-Blit was first encountered in 1998, after its anomalous abilities caused widespread hysteria in the ▇▇▇▇ area. According to records from the local hospital, the object in question was violently assaulted shortly following the mental break of a former colleague. KTE-1206-Blit is believed to be actively on the run throughout the state of ▇▇▇▇▇▇.
KTE-1206-Blit is believed to have indirectly caused the death of at least one operative on ▇/▇/1999. ▇▇▇▇ was discovered in the former temporary residence of KTE-1206-Blit, deceased from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. This action was presumably taken due to the psychological effects of its ability.
Additionally, the body appeared to have been mutilated post-mortem, possibly for the purpose of ▇▇▇▇. KTE-1206-Blit has not exhibited any ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ tendencies before or after this incident.

As of 2000, KTE-1206-Blit has re-emerged at the Foundation under the title of “SCP-13998,” and once again in ▇▇▇ under the name of “Dr. ▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇.” Monitoring of KTE-1206-Blit will continue. Engagement is considered unnecessary unless object once again becomes a threat.

Addendum 13998-A:
After the incident occurring on █/█/09, SCP-13998 has been relocated to the humanoid containment wing of Site 97. Updated containment procedures are pending approval.
Addendum 13998-B:
A thorough physical examination of 13998 has found previously undiscovered abnormalities in its anatomy. Discoveries made during the most recent examination include:
- Esophageal papillae (Sharp, downward-pointing protrusions made of keratin lining the throat.)
- Strengthened keratin of the fingernails
- Increased flexibility of the lower mandible
- Erosion between the lower mandible and temporal bone
These features were not apparent when 13998 was previously contained, and are theorized to have manifested since. Tests are ongoing.
Addendum 13998-C:
Between the hours of █ P.M. on █/█ and █ A.M the following day, 13998 was observed to spontaneously grow another incisor. This was previously lost during the incident on █/█, in which trauma to the jaw of 13998 removed several of its teeth.
