What is destiny and does it exist?
My first question would be “what do you mean by destiny?” Do you mean a singular path for a specific outcome in life based upon some universal laws and rules?” If so then I would argue that destiny is something that gives a person who has not thought about the matter of destiny meaning.
I am not saying here that that person is uneducated, however if you do not take the time to determine your own reasoning then destiny may be the best defining thing that characterizes your behaviors and traits.
Next question on does it exist?
From my personal perspective it really depends.
I can argue that it does exist on the ground of scientific inquiry because a model in which I have accepted is that of forces and the interactions between particles.
And if all particles simply move in distinct paths and analogously “bounce” off of one another then paths will inevitably repeat in a contained environment. And because the brain is contained within the shell of the skull then patterns may repeat.
Because we most likely live in an ever expanding universe.
Along with the fact the brain is analogous to a giant circuit board.
Along with the fact of randomness due to quantum physics modeling shenanigans.
It leads to too many unknowns for me to consider.
In truth I am unsure if destiny exists, I can only really answer the question of what it could be.
