I love how younger peeps don't know how to work a rotary phone, have never seen Terminator or Alien (insanity!), yet they will still get really annoyed at Grandpa Joe staying in bed for 20 years and only getting off his butt to go eat chocolate. It's hilarious how every age seems to know this story and get appropriately upset.

Anyway, this is My Little Pony Upside Down Applejack. A favourite of mine, a limited edition -Stranger Things inspired.

The detail! Based in Palatine, Illinois, Lisa Goesling has 10 astounding pieces in DECAHEDRON:

"Days turned into months and my more literal work began to evolve into abstract expressions of how I was feeling during the pandemic. While it has been a time of chaos, it has also been somewhat freeing.

'Helter Shelter' developed into a series of Scratchbords® filled with textures and shapes, all formed by detailed lines etched into layers of clay and ink.

The last step just before completing each piece was to add brush strokes of black acrylic paint inside of the negative space. That serves to add more texture, and a blacker tone of black than the boards, along with protection for the life of the boards.

Consistent with how I normally create, I did not sketch first; trusting that what ultimately emerges is exactly what was supposed to happen."
