Work in progress... This is my third attempt to use the supplies in the May 2021 #ScrawlrBox I'm struggling with these colour pencils, trying to get depth and instead getting mud, so I've decided to try something different. My box has the 0.05 fine liner, which is of the very fine, draw every hair variety and is a pen I would normally use for fur when I'm in a finicky mood. This month's prompt is Secret Garden, so I decided to draw a sloth as they grow algae on their fur and can have a grassy, mossy look to them, so I thought I would exaggerate the effect. Sharing the resulting line work before I add the colour pencil because I expect it to go wrong again. . . #ScrawlChallenge #ScrawlrChallengeMay2021 #PenArt #LineArt #PenDrawing #Sloth #AnimalArt #SlothDrawing #AnimalDrawing #WorkInProgress https://www.instagram.com/p/CP1Y4P2HzOD/?utm_medium=tumblr
Art magic! @mbj.art managed to complete the Feb #ScrawlChallenge without even looking at it!!! That really is #somethingfromnothing “I finally got around to creating something with the February @scrawlrbox ! The prompt was something along the lines of ‘creating something from nothing’, I drew my first sketch without seeing the prompt but it turned out to fit quite well!” https://www.instagram.com/p/B995auMArJ7/?igshid=9wjakdwz2zog
October’s Scrawlrbox had a bunch of different markers and some super smooth paper. I haven’t ever really used markers outside of class projects before, so it was nice to try it out again.
