TEXT → HONEY LEMON
Fred: Honey, tell me you're not dead. Or worse - missing!
Fred: No. No, wait. I got the order backwards, my bad.
Fred: Just stay safe, okay? We can come up with a buddy system or something. Please be careful.
@phonestalked : “got any more tricks up your sleeve?”
up against a serial killer, the weird quiet kid paired with the popular jock. there's only so many ways this can go, and even jason knows that there's no easy way out. well, except for one. but showing his powers, letting someone in on what he can do, its dangerous. he's already seen as a freak, already the weirdo outcast, adding his powers to the mix? jason’s sure it would only make him look like a monster. but he might not have much choice, masked figure headed their way. he looks at chad, clearly worried, then back to the ghostly killer. now or never, it seems. “ trust me. ” he's barely spoken five words to chad in the past, barely done anything to register trust, but hopefully that won't matter. he steps in front of chad, the size difference almost comedic. he's tiny, barely looks capable of protecting him. and yet, that’s exactly what he'll do. hands raise, pointed at the figure, and in an instant fire circles the pair, a wall of flames the killer would have to be stupid to try to cross through. blood trickles from his nose, but jason's not about to stand down. this is how they survive.
@legacybait : i needed to start over. go somewhere else. be somebody else.
he knows the feeling. it’s something he’s desired for most of his life, seeking out refuge from the horrors of living with his parents. “i get it.” it would be nice, the opportunity to leave the life he’s known behind. he’d never do it, fear of his parents too commanding to ever even think of running away from them. he’s not sure he’ll ever really be ready to stand up to them. “did it work? like.. did it help?”
@legacybait : oh my god, you’re not dead!
“not yet—” he should know better than to say such things when there’s a killer on the loose, should know that joking around isn’t a good idea. especially when he’s already been stabbed. he can’t help it, though, so utterly terrified of the idea of someone seeing just how scared he is, desperate as ever to hide the stuff in his head. “he got me pretty good, though.” hands clutch at the wound on his side, blood slowly seeping through fingers. he’s been stabbed before, more than once, he likes to think he’ll survive this one as well.
