general idea for evil mal —
after getting her hands on the wand, she doesn’t choose good. she chooses to set free every single vk. and tosses every auradon citizen that ever spoke out against the isle into it. she traps them then, with the same villains they left to rot. and auradon becomes a play ground for all the kids who had been denied any semblance of a normal childhood. vks are allowed to flip through lands as they plea. but nobody is allowed off the isle without proving their rotten to the core.

an au where mal grew up in auradon. because flora , fauna , and merryweather can’t stomach the idea of maleficent raising a child. somehow knowing that it could come back to haunt them. and believing that nurture over nature could help the child be good. and for the most part , she’s not half bad. a little rebellious. still has a sharp tongue. a bit of a loner. practices magic in secret. and is completely obsessed with the isle.
