I am very, very excited by the sound of your WWRY/1984 AU that you mentioned you were planning for the hiatus. I love WWRY pretty obsessively, and the idea is cool, and while the musical can be cheesy at times I'm really looking forward to what you do with the idea!
Thank you! This was one of my three(!) ideas for Blaine Big Bang that I ended up not doing. Blaine's relationship with music is something that obsesses me. I think this is that one story that I need to write.
The musical is a bit cheesy at times, yes, so that's where the 1984 thing comes in. One of the things that doesn't work for me about the musical is that the antagonists don't really feel all that dangerous to me. so, I think I'm setting my story in a darker, more dangerous universe.

Its AWESOME!! Stay until the end of the credits though, there are two scenes hidden in there. Loads of people left after the first one, and i think the second one is better imho
i made that mistake in the first marvel movie i saw so now i know better though :) i can't wait!
I love all your fics! But I was wondering if you were every going to finish Someone Like You, or the designer fic? Because i love them both but they're both left at such cliffhanger moments and haven't been updated in quite a while, and i would love to know what happens next!
Yes to SLY. I have to carve out a block of time to finish my final read-through and post the revamped chapter 10, and the final chapters. Right now it’s looking like the earliest I could spend time on it is October 29th.
Yes to Any Other Man, though I probably won’t get back to until after I post the rest of SLY. Thanks for mentioning it, though. :)
And thanks for reading, and for sending me such a gentle nudge.
Hey! I have a fic recs page cause i read a hell of a lot of fics, and I made a list of the best ones, most of them are decent lengths. At the minute they're all on fanfiction, I haven't got round to listing those elsewhere but my favourites are all there. Model Behaviour by themuse19 is my absolute favourite, followed my Michel's List by Athena1440, which is Kurtbastian, and I Like Purple Better by manateegirl524, an mpreg
Thanks for these. I haven't read any of them, so they go on the list!
They do meet when they are young, but they both know that they're essentially promised to each other. Nessa is four and Tau is eight. Fill under cut.
Nessa is four when Asta and Tau first visit them. Blaine and Kurt arrange their children in a neat row, Lizzy first, then Kysh, then Nessa. Eli is a bundle in his arms. Asta and Tau step out of the carriage and Kurt almost laughs and cries, all at once, because, on one hand, they are dressed in Daltonian fashion. And on the other, Tau is seven and he is so grown. Kurt's heart aches.
"You must be so uncomfortable," Blaine says to them, and embraces Asta tightly. "It is so good to see you."
Asta returns the embrace, and says back, "As it is to see you, Blaine of Dalton."
Kurt watches as Blaine also embraces a nervous looking Tau. "You have grown quite a bit since I last saw you," Blaine tell him, giving his shoulder a squeeze.
"It is an honor to meet you, highness." Tau says, still uncertain.
"Call me Blaine," Blaine tells him, "Well- when you were an infant I told you to call me 'Uncle Blaine', but that seems a bit presumptuous now. So just Blaine, don't you think?"
"Blaine," Tau repeats carefully and offers a small smile.
Kurt transfers Eli from his arms to Mercedes', and hugs Asta. "You look well."
"I am. And you, Kurt?" She asks, holding him at arm’s length.
He smiles, and straightens out his tunic. "I am very well. Come and meet our family."
He introduces the children one-by-one.
To Lizzy, Asta says, "Last time I saw your fathers, you were but a seed in your papa's belly."
Lizzy's eyes are wide an interested. "Papa says you fight like a dragon,” She murmurs, “He says you’re fierce.”
“Well,” Asta smiles, tugging on one of Lizzy’s dark curls, “I try my best. Perhaps I’ll show you how while I am here. Would you like that?” When Lizzy nods enthusiastically, she laughs, and moves on to Kysh, her eyes big and sad. She presses a kiss to his forehead and strokes his hair for a moment. “You’re a fierce one too. I can tell. How old are you now, little love?”
“Five, m’lady.” Kysh says shyly, twisting on the spot.
“Five? My, you’ve grown fast. Soon you’ll be all grown up.”
He smiles, huge, and nods. Asta looks to Nessa, in her favorite dress, with blue slippers on her feet and her hair a neat braid. “And you are so beautiful, little one.”
“Thank you, m’lady,” Nessa replies, twisting and holding the edges of her dress.
Tau bows to Nessa, stiff and northern in style, and she curtsies back. They’re both quiet, clearly shy, and Kurt doesn’t know what to do to make it better, to make it easier for either of them.
“Will you play tea party with me?” She asks, sudden and unabashed.
Tau blinks at her, surprised, and then says, quietly: “Yes.”
Yay! You did my suggestion about Kysh being born! It's so cute! So do all carriers have the crescent moon mark on their palms? And girls dont? Is that how they tell the difference? Because i don't remember it being mentioned about Kurt. I also liked that Lord Frederick didnt notice that it was a carrier, you'd think the medical bloke would notice these things!
I'm so glad you enjoyed it! I did mention it a while back when someone asked how people could tell the difference between baby carriers and baby girls, but it was very, very long ago. It’s not always on their palms, no. Kurt’s is on the underside of his foot, Jeff’s on the inside of his thigh. And don’t hold it against dear Lord Fredrick- he wasn’t looking for it! It just didn’t occur to him to check- he was more concerned with making sure that the baby and Kurt were both unharmed.
