Screenplay Of The Month.
Vivien Hasn’t Been Herself Lately by Brian Duffield.
Synopsis --
The story is an intense and disturbing drama about a husband’s attempt to win back his wife’s love, who may be having an affair and putting a strain on their marriage, which he’s willing to do anything to save. When she becomes possessed by demonic forces, he enlists all the help he could find to exorcise her, but to no avail. Eventually, he takes it to upon himself to save her by dealing with the demons himself. The demons only have one condition, that he forget about his wife and leave her forever. But he refuses to let her go and instead will fight to the very end to save her, even if it means being killed by his possessed wife.
A different take on the exorcism genre, with a metaphorical look at marriage and how much work it takes to hold it all together. All the while delivering horrific moments of terror, suspense and a refreshing spin on a tired genre.
