Screenplay Of The Month.
Vivien Hasn’t Been Herself Lately by Brian Duffield.
Synopsis --
The story is an intense and disturbing drama about a husband’s attempt to win back his wife’s love, who may be having an affair and putting a strain on their marriage, which he’s willing to do anything to save. When she becomes possessed by demonic forces, he enlists all the help he could find to exorcise her, but to no avail. Eventually, he takes it to upon himself to save her by dealing with the demons himself. The demons only have one condition, that he forget about his wife and leave her forever. But he refuses to let her go and instead will fight to the very end to save her, even if it means being killed by his possessed wife.
A different take on the exorcism genre, with a metaphorical look at marriage and how much work it takes to hold it all together. All the while delivering horrific moments of terror, suspense and a refreshing spin on a tired genre.

What does it say? It says whatever you want it to say.
Finally got around to reading this. A wickedly original, wildly ambitious, steampunk, victorian-era inspired fantasy detective noir, unlike anything I've ever read before. Only Guillermo Del Doro can bring this to vivid life.

Logline: An encounter between a top Government official and a seductive femme fatale in a bar of a foreign country leads to a deadly outcome.
This is some wicked cool shit right here.
"Identity is perhaps the most elusive of human concepts. Are we the conglomeration of our life experiences, the deterministic products of our genes, or some unquantifiable mixture of both? And what of the stories we tell ourselves? The stories we tell other people?"

Cappadocia to Istanbul, 2016.
A terrific little dark comedy serial killer thriller about a young man, who happens to be the youngest heir to a billionaire family that has abandoned him, devises a murderous plot to inherit his family’s wealth by any means required. It’s sprinkled with a little Clockwork Orange style humor throughout, deliciously macabre, leading to a wickedly satisfying conclusion with quite possibly the most detestable yet strangely likeable lead character in a while. A wildly entertaining, juicy and fun read.

Finally finished reading the script for Denis Villeneuve's "Arrival", previously titled "The Story of your Life." And I'll be honest, I shed a few tears by the end of it. A great script that promises a mature, beautiful, and emotionally engaging sci-fi classic in the making. This is going to be one of the best films of the year.
