Only 11 days to season 2! I've been so excited for it since the first scene in the first trailer - give me all of that good good ominous Yassen stalking after Alex...

For centuries, the Holy See of Ishgard had been locked in a bitter war with the dragons of Dravania. Ishgard itself is rife with internal turmoil: with the threat of the dragons a convenient excuse, the Temple Knights and the High Houses of Ishgard cemented their control over the city-state, turning a blind eye to the greed and corruption in their own ranks.

Charles, formerly the heir to the High House of Xavier, was usurped from his birthright due to House politics. Now, he is part of the Temple Knights, seeking to enact change to the system from within.

Erik is Au Ra, a race of people with draconic features hailing from the Far East. Fleeing the violence in their homeland, he and his family arrived at Ishgard only to find themselves caught in the middle of the Ishgardian-Dravanian war - and the Ishgardians immediately mistake them for allies of the dragons. Erik was the sole survivor of the ensuing massacre. Now, he seeks justice.

Thrown together by chance, Charles and Erik now have to untangle the complicated lies that obscure the origin of the Dragonsong War - that is, if their own differing ideologies don't tear them apart first...
