Week-end is starting well : I forgot half the lessons sheets I have to rewrite and make clearer and the teachers haven’t posted the slides yet...This is gonna be fun...
When life gives you Zitronen, make Limonade.
Die Zitronen: Called the university yesterday all stoked and stuff. I’m ready to get my German and Spanish degree and because I have lived here for three years I will qualify for UK resident tuition instead of paying the quadruple-cost international rate. Or so I thought.
After being on hold for an age I was told that my visa type (spousal) doesn’t count towards what they consider residence. Never mind that I own my own business, have paid taxes for years here and am married to a dude that is Scottish by birth. I also wouldn't qualify for any grants or aid whatsoever.
AAAAAAANK. GAME OVER.
I have been trying this for three years and I’ve been told no. Every. Single. Time. I’m done with trying to get a degree forever. Evidently God doesn’t want me to go to university because I encounter roadblocks every single time I try.
Enter Limonade!
I’m just going to pursue my fluency examinations myself. I’ve enrolled in Goethe Institut personalised training and I’m going to sit the first of my exams in Glasgow later this year.
Where there’s a will there’s a way and I refuse to give up.

I do not know how I will find uni, but the fact that strictly come dancing/the great british bake off/doctor who/ downton abbey will all be running when I start.. I'm gunna have a ball of a time.
