what is a typical day like for each of ur alien characters? :3c (if that's too much/a little too long tHEN PICK YOUR FAVORITE(S))

Good choice; luckily they all live together and usually act as a team SO IT'LL TAKE JUST THE RIGHT AMOUNT OF TIME

Their day usually starts with "putting on" their holographic disguises and attending school with Katsuko in order to learn as much as possible about human customs so they can blend in while they search for the parts of their spaceship - Kalli, the smallest and most animal-like, usually takes care of that part with a makeshift workstation she cobbled together from the few intact parts of the ship's computer in their abandoned barn hideout. In the event that the computer manages to detect a piece of the ship, she calls the other four out (with Katsuko kind of tagging along at first but eventually becoming a more integrated and helpful part of the team) and they scramble to find it before the antagonists (who I admittedly haven't fleshed out much) can beat them to it. A "gotta catch 'em all"/"monster of the week" set-up, then, BUT ONE WITH AS LITTLE FILLER AS POSSIBLE, REST ASSURED

That's the basic template but the four humanoid crew members aren't joined at the hip; they split up/say they're off school sick at times, depending on how they feel. And after school, they either work on putting what they have of the ship so far back together or, if there's not much of that to be done, stick close to Katsuko, who they consider their most reliable source of information on the human race since she was their first contact - inviting themselves over to dinner at her house, helping her abuse the DPOD's holographic projection to sneak out disguised as an adult only to realize she doesn't really know shit about the "adult" world, and generally anything that might result in hilarity and personal growth among the six of them ensuing.

That's the basic template but I've done my best to make the characters/their situation as versatile as possible without going *too* off the rails :D

Space Goofs

SORRY I DIDN'T GET TO THIS EARLIER but yay!

1. The first character I first fell in love with: Bud! Design-wise, he's the closest to "cute-cute" rather than "ugly cute" like the rest of the characters.

2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: Etno; conversely he's the most "ugly" out of the four main characters, and let's face it, I was pretty shallow in my mid-teens.

3. The character everyone else loves that I don’t: ...but I love *all* the characters! I don't like Stereo quite as much as some fans seem to, though; as much as I wish he'd been in season 2 so he could've gotten more personality, it's easy to see why they left him out based on season 1 alone.

4. The character I love that everyone else hates: Gorgious; even if no-one exactly *hates* him I always got the impression that he was the least popular of the five.

5. The character I used to love but don’t any longer: ABSOLUTELY NO-ONE

6. The character I would totally smooch: Etno, especially in his "Bollywood Aliens" disguise. Wooow hot a what

7. The character I’d want to be like: Either Etno (you've got to admire the way he never gives up after decades stranded on an unfamiliar planet) or Bud (he's a lot more guilt-free about spending his life in front of the TV than I'll ever be, which is something to admire in itself)

8. The character I’d slap: (ALMOST) ANY OF THE TENNANTS, or Gorgious, but ONLY as revenge for being mean to Candy

9. A pairing that I love: Etno/Zibouya is a beautifully bittersweet one-sided romance, of course, and Candy and Gorgious are also a perfect "old married couple"

10. A pairing that I despise: None really; all the characters work pretty well together - I think Etno and Bud might fall a bit flat, but I wouldn't "despise" it.

5. Kindest to rudest: Jull, Kalli, Zo, Macco, Ikki, Katsuko

10. Most to least likeable: It's subjective of course but for the most part: Kalli, Macco, Jull, Zo, Ikki, Katsuko (one of the themes of the story is that the aliens always have an edge over Katsu in terms of popularity and social skills)

15. Most honest to least: Macco, Zo, Katsuko, Jull, Kalli, Ikki

20. Most likely to kill someone: Ikki (only because he's a predator and the crew's cook/food provider though), Macco (it'd be out of his "protective older brother" tendencies tho), Katsuko, Kalli, Jull (he can be surprisingly fierce when it comes to his friends), Zo

If your characters ended up in Despray Bay, do you think they'd get along with the Pet Alien cast? And speaking of that, you mentioned there was a second Pet Alien fanfiction (that isn't online anymore), where was it hosted?

AAAAAAAAHHH GOOD QUESTION, this'll be interesting

I'd say the majority of them would, especially since they'd be so happy to meet fellow displaced aliens, although they might be a bit confused as to why the Conformians (except Swanky) didn't want to leave Earth but it would all be a good topic for them to discuss and bond over

I think the only ones who wouldn't get along would be Gumpers and Jull (and then only because they'd be scared of each other at first) and Katsuko with everyone because she doesn't get along with *anyone* at first, but I'm sure she'd warm up to everyone after a while kind of hanging out in the back with Swanky.

AND ABOUT THE FIC I actually got it by email from someone I knew at the time; in theory I *could* post it myself but I wouldn't want to do that without her permission. Here's her dA account, though, so do with that what you will!

oH MY DASH DIDNT EVEN SHOW ME THE HEADCANON POST wow geez ANYWAY i wiLL REQUEST ALL OF THE QUESTIONS FOR IKKI IF ITS NOT TOO MUCH TROUBLE :3c

NO TROUBLE AT ALL and sorry this is so late but like I promised, I did get to it!

What they smell like: The aliens' hideout is the ruins of the abandoned barn they crashed into, so probably like hay and sheep manure (only faintly though THEY DID CLEAN IT UP BEFORE THEY SETTLED IN)

How they sleep (sleeping position, schedule, etc): His species don't need to sleep as often as humans (maybe for about 24 hours once a week) but he's a surprisingly sound and cozy sleeper; he curls up with his long-ass neck on his knees like that post of sleeping giraffes you might have seen

What music they enjoy: HE FREAKING LOVES DUBSTEP but anything upbeat is fine by him

How much time they spend getting ready every morning: Almost none considering he can get dressed and washed with just a hologram that takes about two seconds to generate

Their favorite thing to collect: Unusual and/or challenging recipes; I think I've mentioned before that he was the cook on the alien's ship, and like Jull with medicine he's interested in learning to apply his field of expertise to Earth culture

Left or right-handed: Ambidextrous like all his species, but around humans he tries to use his left hand more so as not to arouse suspicion

Religion (if any): At the moment in my head, his species don't really have a concept of religion (but it could be interesting to come up with one hmmm)

Favorite sport: Running; he's basically a flying ostrich after all, and his crewmates often have to remind him not to show off in P.E. class, a la Dash in The Incredibles

Favorite touristy thing to do when traveling (museums, local food, sightseeing, etc): Collecting information, usually by way of bugging the heck out of the locals - but not maliciously, just out of gung-ho curiosity and general ignorance of human social norms

Favorite kind of weather: Hot and just mildly humid

A weird/obscure fear they have: BEING FROM ANOTHER PLANET A LOT OF “WEIRD” THINGS SCARE HIM but he's more easily started by loud/sudden noises than you'd expect from his cool, confident exterior

The carnival/arcade game they always win without fail:The one where you have a hook on a stick and have to pick up rubber ducks and if you get the right one you win a prize (I don't know if that's a thing in America BUT SINCE THE STORY TAKES PLACE IN ENGLAND IT DOESN'T MATTER); evolving to catch small, quick prey without rushing has served him well
