do you have DID headcanons of gcbc? i would rlly like to hear them!
you opened this can of worms, anon (also sorry the beginning of this is depressing lmao)
gcbc developed DID due to experiencing physical and emotional bullying at school from a very young age. ma and pa knew little of it at the time, between both of them being working parents and gcbc hiding their situation out of shame + having memory gaps.
bc remained mostly hidden, only coming out to take the physical abuse, until an extreme incident in middle school with an older bully. for the first time, bc physically defended themselves. After this event, ma and pa pulled them out of public school, and eventually started sending them to a therapist.
they were very lucky to reach out to a master builder therapist, who recognized their DID. this therapist used the mb ability to enter mindspaces to help gcbc communicate with each other.
their mindspace manifests as an endless field, with a house at the center. within the house are rooms that belong to each system member, holding memories and emotions they’ve locked off from each other.
though they are not aware of him at first, scribblecop actually manifests as a third system member. for the longest time he was simply a container for trauma, but goodcop being forced to go dormant pushed him to the front, and post-movie he develops more personality and fronts more often, even after goodcop returns.
goodcop is (sort of obviously) the social system member. he’s the one who handles most social interactions, and enjoys making friends. he’s also the one best equipped to deal with emotional problems, and despite having difficulty defending himself, he will often be the first one to recognize when someone’s using or manipulating them.
badcop is the emotionally constipated system protector. he experiences the brunt of the physical and emotional abuse they go through, and he’s good at cutting himself off from emotions so he can focus on whatever task is at hand. as a result he’s terrible at practicing any form of self-care, and forming genuine connections with people is a nightmare. when you do get through to him however, he becomes very loyal and caring.
scribble is the system cinnamon roll. he can be emotionally unstable due to holding so much of their trauma, but once you get past that he’s a very fun and positive person to be around. he has lots of insecurities about his personal identity, belonging in the system, belonging in their friend groups, etc, so he’s extremely enthusiastic about being included in anything. he’s also the only one out of the three to have true master builder abilities.
gcbcsc all consider themselves to be like brothers to each other. though they have differing opinions on prioritizing each other in the system. goodcop insists they’re all equal but badcop tends to put the rest of the system before himself, and scribble often feels like he’s only in the way. Still, they love and appreciate each other, and often feel as though their lives are better together than it ever would be if they were alone.
I could go on nonnie, but for the sake of this post being too fucking long, I’ll stop it here. gcbc is a DID icon.
