This is slightly old news at this point, but I WAS NOMINATED FOR A SCRIBE AWARD! It's an award for tie-in media, so anything officially related to an existing property (tie-in novels, adaptations, audio plays).
My Christmas story for Big Finish's Doctor Who range, about experiencing grief during socially-percieved "joyful" holidays (and also a haunted house that isn't a house, a ghost that isn't a ghost, and a lot of time travelling rooms) was nominated along with everything in the "Everywhere and Anywhere" box set for the Eleventh Doctor/Valarie Lockwood.
Winners were announced at SDCC, and my lovely friend Alfie won for Sins Of The Flesh (which is an amazing story, with some very heavy themes for Doctor Who, that does not pull its punches. I highly reccomend, but keep an eye on the content warnings) and I couldn't be prouder of all of us!
In 2017, fans of BBC's Sherlock invented an episode that never was. Now in 2387, the line between real and dream is blurring...
For your consideration: With "Apple Tree Yard" as my submission for the IAMTW Scribe Awards, I'm crossing my fingers this will be my year. It's my strongest and most notable submission so far, and I hope folks give it a shot :) . Also eligible for other awards including the Locus Awards in the novelette category! You can read it here for free.
Who do you think will win at the Scribe Awards this year?
Hooklight feels like a shoe-in for audio.
Shutter Speed seems like an obvious winner for short story.
Puzzling over novels and comics though. What do you think?
