12. Are there any tropes you used to dislike but have grown on you?
I’d cite stuff that’s considered dark fic again here, but really this has happened to me so many times! I’d say pretty much nothing is off-limits for me if it’s written well enough.
16. What’s an AU you would love to read (or have read and loved)?
Oooo, gosh. For the current Saurondriel hyper-fixation, I have to go with Silverwing12’s our souls were made from the stars, which I’ve recc’ed here. Also another shout-out to @thrillofhope’s On the Twelfth Night, which nearly murdered me last weekend with its amazingness, also recc’ed here. Again, I consider myself pretty open when it comes to story premise. I typically start in canonverse and expand from there, but once I’m hooked by a story, I’m hooked.

Oh lord. Okay, well doing this because I’m feeling major imposter syndrome today for no other reason than brains are unkind to us sometimes.
Surprise sinks into her; a sudden stillness that settles over her bones. Oddly delicate. Finally, she nods.
He smiles; that wolfish, sunshine grin he can't seem to suppress. He grabs her wrist and tugs her, then—away from the bar, away from Rae and Gwen and the others—and the slow pulse of drums married with the twang of a few searing, scorching guitar notes take root in her gut.
So it's going to be that kind of dance.
