- unfortunately most scribeschools are inundated with work, especially so around George’s apprenticeship because of the war with Morgarath, so even apprentice scribes are over-tired.
- nigel tries his best to make sure everyone is fed and watered. he keeps a couple beds in a curtained-off corner for sleep-deprived scribes
- nigel has a gecko
- not everyone is superbly long-winded, pompous, and responsible!! lots of scribes honestly want to do nothing but read and?? valid
