Cape Cod Nickerson State Park Kettle Pond by Mark Via Flickr: Downed Scrub Pine at Flax Pond on a Foggy Morning Barnstable County, Coastal Massachusetts Accessed via Nickerson State Park Campground Date taken: September 19, 2015 While much of my time was spent combing the coastline of Cape Cod National Seashore on my trip to Massachusetts this past September, some of my more interesting photographs were arguably from the kettle ponds at Nickerson State Park where my sister and I were camped. On this particular morning, I rolled out of my tent and stumbled down a very short trail to the shoreline of Flax Pond to find this fallen scrub pine reflecting in calm waters with heavily obscured horizons. I thought the result was a really cool low-key image.
