what are your thoughts about forks

forks worry me a lot and i prefer shorter forks because they seem less likely to accidentally injure myself with 

when i was 7 i dropped a fork and it stabbed my toe NOT SERIOUSLY but it made little indentation marks and it hurt really badly so yeah i like the least intimidating fork available if given a choice
