My Journey ✍️
Part 3
The second week, I started to do what was on my schedule for that week. I started to design logos, branding, thank you cards, stickers, and fixing my printer (my printer was broken, lol). That week is making me so frustrated because my printer is not cooperating. Yet I continue to fix my printer and it works (but for a short time, sad).
In the third week, I list everything that I needed such as materials, products, and calculate my budgetary money. Well, this is also a difficult part because you need to have a final decision how would be your packaging style, what kinds of products you should also add except scrunchies, waybill printer, and more.
After that, as I mentioned earlier my printer was broken. So, I need to be resourceful. Luckily, I have a stock of matte stickers. Instead of printing my logo, tags, stickers, and papers. I made hand-painted stickers and tags. Yes, I hand paint it manually. I used gouache to paint it. I know it's wasting too much time but I don't know what to do printing services in my town are too costly and my budget is not enough for it, but still, I enjoyed doing it because painting is one of my hobbies.
And also in that week, I started creating my social media. Like Instagram, Facebook page, Shopee account, and my blog website which is this Tumblr.
In the fourth week, I and my mom goes to a wholesaler store but sadly some of the materials that I need wasn't there so I just buy my primary products like scrunchies and other hair accessories.
Went we back home, I ordered online some materials that I needed, and luckily it was a sale so I save more money.
While waiting for my order for about three days, I started creating my design for my packaging. I make a paper pouch that is made of Japanese paper and also I make some freebies which are then hand-painted stickers that I made, some handwritten thank you cards.
In that week also, I started to post on social media about my opening. Well, because I'm starting for a few days my social media wasn't can reach many people. The next day I started posting my products on my shop on Instagram first.
I want to focus on selling it on Instagram for a while then I will starting post it on my shopee and other platforms. I'm planning also to open a website for my shop, but I will work on it soon.
So yeah, after I launched my shop. Here I am waiting that someone will gonna dm me their orders.
So I learned about doing this project is that you should follow what is on the plan if something happens like what happened to my equipment like my printer is broken. I should be resourceful and creative so that it will not ruin the plan.
Also, you should have enough budget or capital to make your plan be it is on your target time to launch your business.
And lastly, you should have a positive mind that people will reach your business and will love your products.
I think that is all, for now, I hope you like my short journey story on starting my small business.
To all small business owners like me who are starting their journey. Stay positive and learn to love what is your passion. That's all thank you!!
