Standard Chartered Marathon 2023
After missing tons of marathons during the pandemic, I managed to find time in my busy schedule to train and attend my first in-person marathon since 2020 with a 10KM run at Standard Chartered Marathon 2023. 10KM flag off started at 6:30am F1 Pit Building with the route taking participants through our beautiful garden city with stunning views of sunrise over the Marina Bay skyline.
After 95 minutes of continuous evenly paced steps without any rest, I managed to complete the marathon at the National Stadium with a respectable placing of 6580 out of 8471. It is a result that will motivate me to keep training to get stronger to improve in future runs.
For now, I shall simply sit back and relax for the rest of the day as a small reward for running a good race.
