I got a thrill when I saw these images made by Southern Connecticut State University students in Professor KC Councilor’s “Family Stories” class based on a drawing of mine. It feels like I made up a song and now these students are singing it back to me. Copying other people’s drawings is such a good way to see them and to play along with them. I send love and power to KC and his students and gratitude for this honor. The last image is mine. The character is a demon named SeaMa and the monkey is me. Southern Connecticut State University Athletics Mourns Passing Of Gymnast Melanie Coleman

Southern Connecticut State University Athletics is saddened to learn of the passing of gymnastics student-athlete Melanie Coleman, 20, of Milford, Conn. Coleman passed on Sunday, Nov. 10, 2019 after sustaining an injury during training on Friday, Nov. 8.

Melanie's family has set up a GoFundMe.com page, as well as a page that coordinates meal donations to the family at MealTrain.com. Melanie was recently profiled in the Southern News in an article by Sam Tapper that highlights Southern Connecticut student-athletes that compete with their siblings. Melanie and her sister Tiffany were featured throughout the article.

One C is the reasons I like bar hopping, is the people you meet. A gurl came up to me told me thaf she saw me from far and thought I was so beautiful, and that she needed tell me. I was in a group of beautiful wine. And she singled me. It’s the little things...sometimes you need to be reminded that you are beautiful...I didn’t want this party but I’m happy I allowed it
