A Different Kind of Warden
It's in the nature of the sculk to spread and assimilate. This is done without regard to what or who gets caught in their path. But sometimes, they encounter beings who are willing to become part of them. Who allow themselves to change to better understand and protect the sculk. And Mumbo Jumbo, willing host to several young sculk sensors, has begun seeing the changes in himself, and rather than fight it, has decided to embrace the transformation. He doesn't know what exactly is in store. But as long as he can continue his relationship with that strange and fascinating world in the deep, he'll be happy.

Yeah so I posted it. My latest installment in the Mumbo "Sculkdaddy" Jumbo series. it's kinda famous maybe you've heard of it (explicit content warning)
ANYWAY yeah in this one Mumbo releases his baby sensors back into a Deep Dark and tries connecting himself to the biome like they can, and due to his different biology, it doesn't go well. Still, he's determined to be able to talk to them one day, and when he speaks one on one with the sculk sensor that started all this, he learns that there's a chance he will be able to do it if he allows the sculk to adapt his body to be more compatible with it.
Not really minding the changes he's experienced so far, he agrees to let the sculk further change him. From someone else's perspective this might be a horror story. But to Mumbo? He's feeling just fine about it, thank you. He's fully aware of what he's doing and thinks things through, and knows he could just stop if he doesn't want this transformation. He decides to go on with it anyway. It feels right. And really, he's not the first one who's made the decision to join with the sculk.
After all, where do you think the Wardens came from in the first place?
