A house centipede (Scutigera coleoptrata) crawling across the ceiling.
Eight years ago today, I found this house centipede (Scutigera coleoptrata) crawling on my bathroom wall. When I tried to catch it, one of its legs came off. The discarded limb fell into the sink and twitched around for a while, its eerie scraping sound amplified by the porcelain basin.
I took the picture in the middle. The others are stock photos.
