That does make sense! Rudy was born after monsters were trapped underground (”I... was never able to show [him] the sun”) and Monster Kid mentions that Asgore does guest lessons at schools. It’s safe to assume he’d do lectures at universities. The confusion in the timeline lies in what was established in Deltarune, that they were college peers. I (and a lot of other people, it seems) assumed that was the same start to their friendship in Undertale, too.

Oh yeah , now we're talking ! This one's bound to make her a little loopy , and no sooner had she taken that first time that the harsh aftertaste leaves her facial features scrunching . - - - - - - - - Aside from being a consistent pain in the ass, Eileen doesn't care much for them. They use to be a great place to perch on but, now that she can no longer fly they're simply just there for show.

Ice cream delivery! Even if Eileen doesn't have much of a sweet tooth, she can still enjoy some cookies 'n' cream ice cream.

Nobody can resist the soft , savory bits of chocolate cookie crumbs and homestyle vanilla . Vials's KINDNESS is deeply appreciated ! She will now partake in the sugary goodness .
