“Captain’s Log, Stardate... big hand on the six and little hand on the ten. The first test of the Magic Portal went well, but it still needs modification. For one, getting back is incredibly difficult. For two, I don’t want to get sucked in at random. I already lost my prized Bottle Cap collection before I managed to reverse the anti-matter glagnorp and kill a giant spaghetti monster with string cheese and chopsticks,” I said into my recorder, taking a few seconds to breathe. “But now the modifications are done.”
“It took about 69 more pudding cups and the panties of a hot babe to get this far, so it better work. There’s someone I have to see, and if this fails then it will be nearly impossible to find her.” I put the recorder down for a bit, pacing around my lab and making final adjustments before I picked it back up.
Steeling my nerves, I once again clicked the ‘record’ button and continued to speak. “I will now enter the coordinates that should hopefully allow me to reach her.” And by that he meant clicking ‘Play’ on a playlist of Akatsuki no Yona episodes on the small computer screen next to the shiny red button- now with extra shininess!
“I will now press the button. If this works, I’ll see you on the other side.”
And I gave the button a solid press.
The portal roared to life, its blue light far more stable than the darker, black-hole-like thing I’d made in the last test. Taking a few gulps of air, I took the few steps I needed to get close... and then walked through the portal.

The landing was a whole lot nicer this time around. Didn’t exactly shoot out of the portal like some sort of crazy person. And I didn’t hit a Deloreon this time. Looking around, I saw nothing but rolling green hills and gorgeous mountains framing the rise of the early morning sun. It was dawn.
I’ve got to find her. I’ve got to find Princess Yona.
