Alright. I volunteer at the San Diego Humane Society, having done so for several months. While I am currently a Canine Companion, I would like to shine the spotlight on rabbits.
Not a lot of people realize that we have rabbits, so a good number of the rabbits at the different campuses (especially Airport Road) have been there for several months. Some have even been there perhaps nearly half a year.
If you are considering to adopt a pet in the near future and live in San Diego county, may I suggest adopting a rabbit? They can be litter trained and with the proper amount of care, can live just as long as cats.
Just note that if you do consider a rabbit, please do the proper research to care for them. They are technically prey animals, so you would have to take a different approach to bond with them.
You can look at available rabbits (and other animals) to adopt here.
