It’s been awhile since I’ve done one of these kinds of posts.
So, Knives Out was a movie I was so excited to see, but with the holidays and work I just didn’t get the chance to watch it in theaters. So, the moment it was available I bought it and watched it... like 3 times... I loved it.
I wasn’t expecting to love the set design as much as I did. I could only think “ooooohhh Chris Evans and Daniel Craig on screen together.” And of course Toni Collette and Michael Shannon are amazing.
The set is quirky and eclectic and fit the personality of Harlan perfectly. All the dolls and puppets creeped me out but my eyes kept wandering to find all the different ones. It’s like a game of Eye Spy. There is just so much detail in every scene. One of the things I love about movies is watching the background and seeing the setting and all the little clues that hint at the characters. Every time I watch with my brother he asks me what I think about the set design and I gladly give my input. The home itself was also amazingly beautiful and I wish I could have one of my own.
