hmm...had to think about this one lol.
5. I've always thought the use of symmetry was really cool in movies, like what you often see in Kubrick or Wes Anderson movies
4. Scenery. Like any kind of scenery, but bonus points for open shots of nature or neon cityscapes and triple points if it's animated (and if it is it's probably studio ghibli lol)
3. Not really an aesthetic but I've always appreciated good and interesting wardrobe design, especially if it's a historical movie or series
2. Any kind of cinematography. I looove cinematography. Because cinematography, of course!
1. Ok idk if this is even an aesthetic but I really love the use of contrasting colors in movies and television lately, like using really bright and happy colors for a show or movie with a darker theme, sorta like what they did for the show Pushing Daisies. It seems as though everyone's going darker these days so when shows or movies use a brighter palette I think it's a breath of fresh air and shows some originality (and I'm getting tired of not being able to see anything tbh)
