summary: now that sombron is defeated and the war is won, it's time for everyone to return home. though seadall would rather be with you than return home...
a/n: seadall is such a sweet guy and i had been meaning to write something for him <3
it was clear that this day would come eventually. sombron was defeated. the war was won. peace was returning to elyos and there was no need for the divine one to keep their army. most people returned to their own lands, having kingdoms and queendoms to rule or people to protect. but for seadall, the most important person had been by his side all along.
only a handful of people returned to the somniel instead of their home, you and seadall included. he was never that attached to solm in the first place. there was nobody waiting for him at home and he was considering going somewhere else – wherever you would lead, he'd follow.
"i heard you turned down pandreo's offer to join him and the others on their back to solm"
seadall's head turned as he heard your voice.
"yes, well… i still had things here that i couldn't leave behind"
he confessed, his eyes glued to you.
"what things?"
you smiled at him, waiting for a reply. but you didn't get one. seadall just stared at you quietly and that was reply enough.
"oh…!"
your cheeks turned red and you averted your gaze flustered.
"i apologize, i didn't mean to burden you with this. it's just that– i'd rather stick around here a little longer if it means we can spend more time together"
seadall explained himself to you and you quietly nodded along, a small smile forming on the corners of your lips.
"you know… i was kind of thinking the same thing~"
