𝙞𝙩    𝙩𝙖𝙠𝙚𝙨    𝙮𝙤𝙪    𝙖    𝙨𝙚𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙙    𝙩𝙤    𝙜𝙚𝙩    𝙪𝙨𝙚𝙙    𝙩𝙤    𝙣𝙚𝙬    𝙧𝙤𝙢𝙚.    new    rome    who    is    everything    you’ve    ever    wanted.    more    protection    than    anywhere    else    in    the    world.    there    is    no    way    of    going    to    any    normal    college,    not    when    monsters    and    fates    and    prophesies    haunt    every    corner.    what    you    don’t    expect    is    to    see    praetor    percy    jackson.    this    is    where    you    realize    that    he’s    still    scary    when    he    wants    to    be.    you    can    see    the    power    stirring    under    his    skin.    it’s    not    like    before,    where    you    could    see    the    kid    under    the    powerful    demigod.    under    the    prophesies    and    the    pain    and    everything    in    between.    it’s    almost    laughable    too.    because    he’s    your    friend,    you’ve    watched    him    be    a    kid,    play    fighting    with    jason,    sparing    with    annabeth,    the    laughs    and    the    way    he    moves,    is    different    today.

but,    still    you    move    towards    him.    a    slow    smile    on    your    lips.    you    might    be    there    to    tease    him    too,    just    to    have    a    tiny    laugh    here.    ❝  jackson!    what    in    the    world    are    you    even    doing    here?  ❞    you    laugh    softly    now,    arm    throw    around    his    shoulder    for    good    measure.    ❝  here    to    lead    everyone    in    line?  ❞

💀   ——   the streets of New York were not unlike the Fields of Asphodel, crowded and bustling. though the pace was much faster walking through Manhattan, and there was not the risk of bumping into one another in the Meadow. it was much louder topside as well, the noise hammering on the Italian’s ears. the only upside was that much like how the souls parted for him in the Underworld, the living did as well. whether they realized it or not. it was a blessing as much as it was a curse. hands shoved into the deep pockets of an over-sized jacket, head bowed and too-long curls fell into dark eyes, Nico glided through the sea of people with ease, picking up the pace as the sky began to darkened.  (  this visit to the East Coast was one made purely on a whim. an escape from his father and the festivities taking over the Roman Camp. he was not yet ready to venture to the Greek equivalent, however.  )
