Portrait of a Man, Possibly an Architect or Geographer Flemish 1597 --- Peter Paul Rubens --- Thought to be Rubens’s earliest dated work, this oil on copper is one of the few known paintings by the artist completed before his departure from Antwerp for Italy in 1600 and attests to his sensitivity as a portraitist. The unknown gentleman holds a watch, an architect’s or draftsman’s square and a pair of dividers, a drafting tool. These may reference his profession, but the encased timepiece is a conventional allusion to mortality.

One of the first ever animations I’ve made :) about 2 years ago
Image description: Hexagon tiles with a truchet-like pattern in rainbow colors make random-looking serpentine paths. End image description.
Seamless loop animation, no generative AI used. Animated loops can cause motion sickness, effects shouldn't rise to the level of needing an epilepsy warning. Made by KickAir 8p with Blender and GIMP, both free open-source software. CC0 Public Domain, want take have.
Details on the inspiration for this and how this type of effect is achieved here. In that example I used Blender’s geometry nodes to make a random hexagon grid — for this I individually rotated each of the 48 tiles in the array. FYI that just one of the ribbon paths runs continuously through the animation. Thanks again to everyone signal boosting my questions, answering, and helping out.

Every gif can be a video, but not every video can be a gif.
One example using some 'Visual Beats' (gif series at Objkt originally designed at 100 bpms)
Used as video loops at 84 bpm here.
This series is about the 'musicality' of gifs, the silent music inside them.
*VJs, use them!! 👀👍
