More with Misty and Cilan!

I’m not sure how in-character it is, but I’ve taken to imagining that Cilan, once he realizes Ash is the jealous type, deliberately trying to provoke that side of him to coax a more conscious awareness of his feelings out.

I’d have kept with the marker coloring I used for the first set, but time didn’t permit it.

4. Who is the one who carries around $100 just in case there is some apocalypse and they need to buy gear?:

Misty. This girl came equipped with the gear to deal with a vampire (which she tried to use on a ghost at Maiden’s Peak). You know a part of her mind is secretly a doomsday prepper.

11. Who is the one to burst out into song randomly?:

Definitely Cilan, causing Misty to roll her eyes and be like ‘why you gotta be this way’ but then she’d eventually join him.

16. Who is the one who likes to rewatch the same movies?:

Cilan with The Polar Express. 

Misty: It’s JULYCilan: It’s never too early to marvel at this.

20. Who is the one who uses YouTube for their music because they don’t want to buy/download anything?:

Misty. Gotta save that money for silver in case they run into a werewolf. Cilan is scandalized because thAT’S ILEGAL MISTY STOP IT YOU’RE GOING TO GET US ARRESTED.

After coming across @allthingsmisty‘s old headcanon about Misty and Cilan, I felt compelled to imagine what that friendship might be like. And how Cilan might help along a certain romance...

(After a lot of digital color work, I decided to go back to markers this time, with the computer for tweaks. Interesting results, but not the fastest process.)

vomit / don’t ship / okay / cute / adorable / perfect / beyond flawless / hot damn / screaming and crying / i will ship them in hell

I don’t know much of anything about Cilan since I never saw more than 5 minutes of BW and I never would have come up with a plausible meeting for these two characters (thanks to @zdbztumble for creating a fanfic that did just that). They’d be an interesting combo/have an interesting friendship, but that’d be about it, I suppose. And again, I’m basing this on other peoples’ interpretations of the characters/their headcanon interactions, as well as the generalized concept that they’re both good people.

Cilan is always the first to wake in the mornings, enjoying a cup of tea while watching the sunrise.

Misty, however, adores this idea, but is unable to ever wake in time to witness the event and sleeps right through it without fail.

Despite knowing Misty can be quite grouchy if abruptly awoken, he still risks a delicate kiss on her cheek every morning, blissful that she's the first thing he sees.
