Lady Gaga returns to the cinema. She will be Patrizia Reggiani in the Gucci’s murder film!
In the new Ridley Scott’s movie, the pop star will play the heiress condemned for the murder of her ex-husband, heir to the famous fashion house. After the triumph of “A Star is Born”, Lady Gaga returns to the cinema directed by Ridley Scott this time. The pop star will be the main character of the next film by the director of Blade Runner and The Gladiator in which she will play Patrizia Reggiani, Maurizio Gucci's ex-wife, condemned for the murder of the entrepreneur, grandson of Guccio Gucci, founder of the famous fashion house.
THE STORY The play will be based on «The House of Gucci: A Sensational Story of Murder, Madness, Glamour and Greed», a book wrote by Sara Gay Forden which tell about the relationship between Patrizia Reggiani and the heir of the italian griffe, hit in broad daylight on the 25th March 1995 by three bullets while he climbed the stairs of his office in Palestro Street in Milan. The Judiciary arrested his wife, soon renamed by the italian press “The Black Widow” and condemned her as the istigator of the murder on 17th March 2000 at twenty-six years of imprisonment.
RETURNS TO THE CINEMA To play the heiress have been considerated many actress, including Angelina Jolie and Penélope Cruz but, at the end, Lady Gaga has been chosen. It’s no coincidence that the pop star has never hidden her will to continue her acting career after the success of “A Star is Born”, a movie that won eight Oscar nominations (including one for the best female main character for the pop star) and has saw her, for the first time, by Bradley Cooper side, with whom she recived the prestigious statuette for the best song assigned to the hit “Shallow”.
