After stumbling around for a few hours, Jessica had decided to stop looking for her friends-- Just for now, though. Right now, she really needed to rest. She hadn’t slept in over 24 hours, she was absolutely covered in open wounds, and everything was sore. Somewhere along the way, she found herself a public bathroom. She gave a soft sigh of relief.
She dragged herself in, leaning over one of the sinks and taking a good look at herself in the mirror. She looked terrible. She turned on the water and let it run until is became warm, cupping her hands and splashing water onto her face. She at least wanted to get the blood off of her face. Maybe then, people would stop giving her strange looks.
She raised her head again and looked at herself. Now she was starting to look better. Her wounds had started to clot and scab, the bleeding down to a minimum. She jumped slightly when she caught sight of someone behind her in the mirror, taking a sharp breath. She went completely still and closed her eyes, clutching at the edges of the sink.
If she stayed completely still, it wouldn’t be able to see her.
