I was like, “Okay, the double XP was extended, time to dust off my shadow priest on my main server (a.k.a. my alchemy alt and the owner of my storage guild)! She’s only 104 so it’ll be a nice change of pace to play in a Legion zone instead of BFA yet again.” Except guess where I had left her? Halfway through Stormheim, a.k.a. the zone where I did every single world quest for like two years trying to get the storm drake mount, and vowed never to return to after I finally got it. So it was a different zone than the ones I’ve been playing, but still mind-numbingly familiar. Sigh.
And yes, I could have just flown to a different zone, but she was right in the middle of a couple quest chains and I figured, might as well finish them, and then one thing led to another, and she dinged 110 a few hours later. Now I have to decide if I’m going to fly around the Broken Isles for easy discovery XP and stuff, or just bite the bullet and dive into BFA yet again.
Shadow priesting wasn’t as annoying as I remembered it from early Legion, but I imagine there have been some class changes. It still feels kind of clunky to me with the ramp up time, but least Shadow Mend is better than I remember it. I managed to accidentally pull like six kvaldir and lived through it with a sliver of health in Helheim, so I must be doing something right.
So yeah. On an unrelated note, I’ve had a very shitty day due to family drama, and even playing WoW wasn’t as much of an escape as usual. So send good vibes my way, if you can, and hope tomorrow sucks less.
