How are you celebrating #WorldOceanDay? ⤵️
Did you know that ocean trash can be broken into smaller pieces — known as microplastic — by sun exposure and wave action, after which it can find its way into the food chain?
Gross, right? Our ocean friends deserve better and we can help.
We are often out cleaning up trash in the ocean, but today we are excited to spread awareness with @WestPawUS by helping to announce that they are launching Seaflex—their first collection of dog toys and dog feeding accessories made partly from ocean-bound plastics!
Not only are these toys helping to keep plastic out of the ocean but they are FUN.
(I’m playing with their new Snorkl here, a gift from West Paw themselves, and it is an absolute blast to fetch and bury at the beach.)
You can help, too! Save this post to come back to these action steps:
➡️ Learn how to change everyday habits for a cleaner ocean at oceanic.global/act
➡️ Sign the Campaign for Nature petition at campaignfornature.org/petition/
➡️ Reduce the plastics in your life.
➡️ Consider @WestPawUS Seaflex the next time you’re looking for new dog toys or feeding accessories.
