I have a special request for my birthday for any of my carbrained friends here: park your cars in/around Cal Anderson August 30th. My birthday is August 30th, which is unfortunately the same day as a christian nationalist rally in Cal Anderson. Knowing how allergic to walking and public transit these fuckers are, they are all going to try to drive here. Dont let them. Park your cars in every available parking place for the day. When people park illegally, report the spots and get them fined.

While there are weird limits on the covid vaccine that in my opinion are motivated by RFK's beliefs, getting your covid booster helps protect yourself and your friends and family (the primary function of it is to limit serious complications, but there is evidence that boosters reduce transmission as well).

When booking with safeway, you have to self attest that you have a qualifying condition and they dont require proof of that condition. These conditions include asthma, diabetes, heart disease, tobbacco smoker, seizure/brain disorder, liver disease/kidney disease, asplenia, immunocompromised, etc.

Anyways my household has all recently become tabbacco smokers.

14 DAYS UNTIL ELECTION DAY SO #14 REASON WHY YOU SHOULD VOTE BEFORE NOVEMBER 4TH:

the Seattle shield initiative, which is currently on the ballot, is in my opinion a really good idea. What it does is raise the minimum amount of gross revenue needed to pay the local B&O tax to 2M (this is gross revenue not net) and raises the B&O tax for the top 10% of businesses in Seattle. I think this is a great idea (and of course it was brought to you by the genius alexis mercedes rinck vote for her) and will help small businesses in Seattle stay afloat
