Coffee Talk || OPEN
James breathed in the cool night air. It was lovely outside, a bit nippy for May, but still nice. The breeze whisked through his hair and he zipped up his jacket. The streets were busy but relaxed, most people were enjoying the nicer weather, but people walked with heads turned down. Glancing up at the signs of the shops on the street, James looked for the name of a coffee shop recommended by a kid in his Microeconomics class last semester. It was called "Stomping Grounds" and he appreciated the pun as much as he hoped to enjoy their coffee. He checked the address on his phone again, and walked two more blocks before finding it tucked next to a boutique. There was a delicate chime from the bell attached to the door as it opened, and James breathed in the comforting smells and sounds. No matter where in the world he was, James could always count on coffee shops to be a familiar haven.
He ordered an in-house latté and sat down in a corner booth to sip and stare while he waited for inspiration to strike. People watching was a favourite habit of his, and it always turned up with results, even if it wasn't what he expected.
God I’ve been sick as a dog

Somebody remind me why life is even a thing?
