BECAUSE @paulwh757510 is a TRULY wonderful person with the biggest heart - this is my “fan-vid”! He always tells me that I’m his biggest fan - in true life, I probably am! But I’m a fan because he’s a wonderful friend! He’s so gifted, yet he doesn’t let it go to his head. I first met him 6 years ago and had an opportunity to chat with him at that time. Fate brought us together again, when me & my photographer @kurtclark showed up as media to @seattlemainframe for the “pre-showing” of his unseen photos. However, my story will end up being a 3-part “mini-series” if you will😊! I say this because this has taken on a life of its own and certain unexpected events took place! This will all be in the 3 part piece. As a reminder to those of you in the Seattle area; there’s just a few more weeks left of Paul’s “Stargazing” showing. It ends on October 7th. WHAT AN AMAZING Preview party for photographer #paulhernandezphotography last night! You’ll have to wait until we publish the piece on Paul & the stories behind those photos ~ to see if we publish any of the unseen. Keep in mind we need approval from Paul to publish any of them. Here’s a quick note about copyright infringement that Paul asked us to pass along; IT IS AGAINST INTERNATIONAL COPYRIGHT LAW to PUT ANYONE ELSES NAME ON HIS (or any other photo) PHOTOS. THIS INCLUDES YOUR INSTAGRAM NAME AND PICTURE, A TUMBLR PROFILE NAME, A FACEBOOK GROUP NAME, ETC. Anyone that puts a name other than the actual photographers name will be reported to Paul Hernandez or reported to the photographer (if it’s not Hernandez’s photos), and they can and more than likely have those in violation prosecuted for copyright infringement. This is a very serious issue on social media, but instagram is the worst. If you see another Instagram user doing this, please report it to Instagram; if you know the actual name of the photographer- you can contact most photographers directly. I know we all get excited to see new photos, but no one should ever infringe on the copyright protected artist (photographer). Thank you for reading this and understand that those of us that have been around photographers and artists for many years, we felt that this is a necessary post. Plus we did this for our friend Paul too. Last night we showed him many different posts from Instagram - specifically those that put their names on photos they did not actually take. 2 of them were taken by photographer Chris Cuffaro and some taken by Marty Temme. We actually found one of Paul’s with a photo of the Instagram user and her user name at the bottom. That is copyright infringement!
