Continuation of previous post bc that got long by accident: Lucille's storyline would be a little more. Like. Idk the word for this. The closest one I've got is hardcore and I'm not sure that fits but we'll use it for now. Lucille's storyline is abt revenge, ofc, of having her whole crew taken from her, save for a few, which leads to hardcore depression and self hate, blaming her self. But instead of getting help, bc her pride is terrible and she feels weak already, she turns to alcoholism. She also is gonna have like. Semimild germaphobia, bc I think that infection is gonna be a key component in the loss of her leg. She def has ptsd and hates/fears fire bc of it, which leads to some bumps in her relationship with Roxanne. Eventually she copes with her fear of fire by like. Convincing herself that Roxanne's fire is safe. Roxanne is safe. But this leads to unhealthy like. Envisioning of Roxanne, bc in order to cope, she has convinced herself that Roxanne is invincible, which means that if anything were to happen to Roxanne...she would probs be wrecked beyond belief. However, bc I apparently love my ocs way too much, nothing will happen to Roxanne. Nothing major anyway. Roxanne lives forever. Muahah. But a big thing for Lucille is..learning that letting people help you does not make you weak. Asking for help is not weakness. But she's still the most spiteful creature in existence. Sebastian's story is abt. Aroace doesn't mean heartless robot. He's got a shitton of heart. He loves rly hard. Just not romantically or sexually. So similarish story to Sabine. Buuuut. He's got a nasty habit of...Like. sacrificing his well being and stuff for his loved ones? So he's got to learn self love and that u need to put urself first sometimes. Also. That compassion and kindness are not weakness. He is super understanding and helpful and kind, but he is also stubborn sometimes, and it's good when he's stubborn. Hes also rly good for Lucille. Bc he's super understanding but he doesn't budge. He understands that Lucille hates taking breaks to rest her leg, doesn't mean he's gonna let her wreck herself. She's gonna rest her leg. End of discussion. (Ngl tho, for awhile, I was rly worried that the rship between Lucille and Sebastian played into a trope/ stereotype? I never heard of the "mammy" stereotypes until I followed a certain writing advice acc or whatever, but I was worried for awhile that I accidentally played into that? With the whole "helpless white character relies heavily on the caretaking of the black character" or whatever. But. I think I can manage to avoid that maybe? Bc I'm gonna flesh him out? Hes a person. Not. a trope? And like. He wasn't black at first? He was a char whose physical design I couldn't decide on but at the time things were floating around abt how. There doesn't need to be a REASON for characters of color not to be white, bc white is not default. And I was like. Huh. I've been trying to envision him as some sort of white char but like. Why. For what purpose? Let's make him black. Idk. I'm working on things. ) And lastly. Alek. Alek's storyline is probs gonna be abt.. some level of toxic masculinity and expectations, and also a shout out to my heterosexual aros. And he's so worried abt being a stereotype, bc he's a guy. It's expected that he be. Like. Not romo, but he feels rly bad ?? And he doesn't know what's "wrong" with him. Bc he feels disgusting for being sexually attracted to all these women but not wanting a romantic relationship. Also, how to handle interacting amicably with an ex who's new gf is jealous v easily. Sabine and Naomi and Sebastian help him in the discovery of Aromanticism, and finding out what he is helps him but he's got a lot of self hate for it that he has to get over. And he doesn't like trying to sleep with the people he finds sexually attractive bc he's worried. Bc he's so worried that he'll hurt them, bc he can't give them romantic love and he feels broken bc of it but he's working on it.
