I have a question about penile oral sex
What are the steps to ensure proper safety for someone like me where the point of the act is the cum itself? You said preventing liquid exchange is the best way to prevent the spread of stds but that would genuinely completely ruin the point of the act for me
hi anon,
in this situation (having sex without protective barriers) the best you can do is inquire about the ejaculating partner's medical history and whether or not they have any known STIs. if you're the person doing the oral penetration, then that's easy! you already know, and if not, you can get tested to find out.
if you're the person being orally penetrated and the person ejaculating in your mouth is a long-term partner or friend whose sexual activity you're well aware of, awesome! if not, you may need to make a judgment call and decide if you're able to trust their assessment of their own risk status. getting tested yourself two weeks after the sexual contact is a good idea to be sure, especially if your partner wasn't uncertain of their own status, or if you aren't sure they were correct/truthful.
taking PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis) is strongly recommended for people who have "high risk" sex, which includes unprotected penetrative sex especially if one has multiple sexual partners, because it can drastically reduce the risk of contracting HIV. PrEP is currently available as a daily pill or as shots that can be taken every 2 or 6 months, depending on the brand you use. a monthly pill is also currently in production, but not yet available. note that PrEP is highly effective a preventing HIV infections but NOT at preventing other type of sexually transmitted infections.
people hemming and hawing about whether or not JKR taking a nonconsensual photo of another woman's lower body specifically to mock her counts as "upskirting" or not are really overlooking the fact that it's sexualized harassment regardless of pedantic semantics. JKR is a sex pest who harasses women and uses the marginalized status of those women - namely, transhood - to justify her harassment and mistreatment.
like not to be too personal about this but every single person who has ever taken a photo of me without my consent was harassing me. it doesn't matter that they weren't getting photos of my genitals. harassment doesn't need to involve genitals to be a bad thing. jsyk!
I found the exact same model of iPod necklace hanger that I used back in 2006. Fuck Spotify, I have a clunky rectangle hanging from my neck and that’s way cooler.
the worst part about JKR's sex pest behavior, and also The People's Discourse about her sex pest behavior, is that you fuckers are going to force me to reread The Half-Blood Prince so that I can write an essay about the disgusting and horrifying way JKR chose to write Harry's sexual awakening, namely, personifying Harry's lust for Ginny as a jealous and possessive animal wishing to dominate and control her.
like i'm being SO FUCKING SERIOUS that her conception of male sexuality awakening is that it is inherently predatory and objectifying of women. i was a teenager reading this and being DEEPLY upset and put off by this conceptualization, especially as a young lesbian who already was convinced my lust for women was inherently predatory and wrong.
JKR genuinely genuinely conceives of sexual attraction itself as a predatory violence. And that's deeply important to discussing her real world politics. Which is why we unfortunately do have to keep doing media analysis on Harry Potter. Ppl love to say "the signs were always there!" about the goblins and shit, but I never see anyone talk about how her literal Golden Boy Protagonist was not immune to her antimasculinity views. Though Harry Potter is, in some sense, JKR's idealized self, he is also inextricably Male and therefore must be Predatory in his existence, particularly as he reaches adulthood.
this kind of Says A Lot about her as a person!!
i genuinely do not understand why people have iphones
like do they realize that they're paying x5 more for a significantly worse product?
you can't even use firefox extensions on an iphone. no ublock. why would anyone do that to themselves willingly?
It does genuinely shit me off when folk refer to any amab nb as "transfem" just like it's a given. No, I am not trans-"fem" I am nonbinary. That is, not masc or fem. Not one of the two "binary" options. "Non"-"binary". As in not either one. You get it? Is it clicking yet?
#they just don't believe being nonbinary is its own unique identity#with unique experiences and material conditions from @queerautism
IMHO, if you are AMAB and not cis, you are transfem, because that is short for transfeminine or transfeminized.
The simple truth of patriarchy is that whatever isn't masculine is feminine. Distancing yourself from masculinity in any direction gets you subjected to misogynistic violence.
Transfem is a term that means "subjected to the societal pressures of being non-cis and AMAB."
It's like being mixed race — you're still racialized, you're still not white.
(Race, gender, borders and money are alike in that they're real, but only because we make them.)
If you are AMAB and nonbinary you will be subjected to transmisogynistic violence in some capacity.
You will be lumped in with the trans women.
This is because the patriarchy does not care about what is in your soul. It cares about punishing deviance.
You might not get hit as hard as she/her feminine gender expression F on the drivers license HRT and SRS having trans women, but you WILL take a lick or two.
Transfem does not mean "trans woman". It means "the patriarchy will try to kill you in approximately the same way as trans women."
The material conditions are not that different.
I see what you are talking about but I don't think it's fair to tell people they should define themselves by the way they are oppressed. Transfeminine means you are leaning towards a feminine presentation. You can be "AMAB", not cis, and not lean towards a feminine presentation. Let alone, gender isn't a spectrum that only has masculine and feminine, no matter what the patriarchal perception is. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought transfem and transmasc were supposed to be labels descriptive of your self perception and the way you want to be perceived, not something for other people to stamp you with. I do sincerely believe we are having a semantic disagreement in this case, but I can't find anywhere that transfeminine has anything to do with the kind of oppression one faces.
Yes, this is a clear case of disagreeing on the meaning of words, and the meaning of words and jargon is constructed and varies by domain of discourse, so I am pre-emptively just gonna say, I don't care what you think it means, and I mean that without any malice.
I'm not telling people to go and call themselves feminine in terms of presentation or identity, and I'm not claiming being nonbinary is either this or that. With all the love in the world, I don't care about what nonbinary people decide about themselves, I will cheer from the sidelines.
But what I extremely often see is that people forswear any association with transfemininty, seemingly out of a desire to distance themselves from trans women and our struggles. Even if they share those struggles.
(Note how @queerautism tagged this with "nonbinary has different material strugges".)
AMAB nonbinary people are subjected to (or at risk of suffering) the same kind of violence as transgender women. That's just a brute fact of life, as unavoidable as death and taxes.
Until such a time as queer liberation movements and mainstream feminism starts acknowledging transmisogyny (and transmisogynoir) as one of the most insidious forms of patriarcal oppression, and transfeminism (esp. black transfeminism) as the only reasonable political framework for understanding it, we will be powerless to prevent a backslide into patriarchal fascism.
(And to address your tags: #also according to your argument trans women who pass would not be transfem -- I think you pretty fundamentally misread my original point. No amount of transitioning will ever make a trans woman not be affected by transmisogyny.)
Again proving that so many people just love pretending nonbinary people basically experience the same thing as binary trans people, if anything "not get hit as hard" which is fucking ridiculous. Just say you don't believe being nonbinary is a real thing, it's just faster.
I didn't say different, btw, I said unique. Similar in some ways to other groups of trans people, of course, literally no one disputed that. It is not "distancing from trans women" to say nonbinary people's identities and struggles occupy a real place in our society, that should be considered to stand on its own. We live as nonbinary people, we navigate the world as nonbinary people, we are targeted as nonbinary people, even when society tries to label us as something else.
Using your definition plenty of AFAB nonbinary people would be considered transfem. How often do you have to be targeted by transmisogyny to count?
Literally no one is saying that transmisogyny isn't one of the most insidious forms of patriarchal oppression. "You either share my exact framework and let me label you against your wishes or fascism will win" is absolutely wild though.
I have so much respect for the wee girls who do cartwheels for no reason regardless of context. like it's just their default idle animation. nothing else is happening might as well be upside down for a moment. iconic tbh
anon hater just accused me of (among other things) "encouraging kids to install malware on their parents' computers". I don't remember ever doing that but it sounded like a fun concept for a post so here are some ideas for things to install on your parents' computers!
a custom DNS resolver that blocks access to Fox News and other right-wing propaganda outlets
a keylogger to capture the admin password for your router so you can disable parental controls
a VPN or a virtual machine running the Tor browser to bypass access restrictions and age verification checks
your own "parental controls" browser extension, set up to send you notifications if your parents visit websites that indicate they might be spying on you (e.g. Life360)
a userscript that adds a fake virus warning popup to the donation pages of fascist political parties
have fun! make sure to do loads of reading and learn how things work so you can break them safely and effectively!
oh, and anon, my advice to you is never stab a man who collects knives
I too advocate training children how to break police-state tooling. Excellent ideas!
Might I add a small note to the suggestion of your own "parental controls?" In addition to alerting you of services designed to spy and remove autonomy of choice, also include sites or categories which your guardians restrict your access to. Log them, and keep timestamps and counts. You now have evidence of hypocrisy!
Alongside building resistance to overreaching authority (which is unfortunately very necessary in this day and age), you will be growing your skills in fact checking and character testing!
Side Node: I do advocate parental controls for children who may stumble, unknowingly, into things online which they aren't ready for. If a child can figure out how to bypass controls, they are both ready and capable of making their own choices. Parents should be protecting their children, not imprisoning them.
Similarly, if a child wants access to something and comes to their guardians asking to have it removed from the blacklist, the guardian should be prepared to be convinced of their readiness and allow them access (ongoing discussions of ramifications, potential trauma, etc should be held regarding sensitive subjects, but said subjects shouldn't be outright "disallowed").

If the woman that JK rowling posted an upskirt photo of had been a cis woman snopes wouldn't have said this was "mixed" and you know it.
Not that it was necessary, but I looked up definitions, and yeah, obviously "taking a photo under someone's skirt" is literally it. Fuck Snopes so fucking hard. I need them to explain to me how it doesn't fit the definition to a fucking t:
And what the FUCK do they mean, "public setting"?? Yeah, upskirts are mistly taken in public fucking settings! That's not an eycuse, that's part of the fucking issue
And truly what do they mean it was in public? Does that mean that the upskirt photos people take on subways dont count because other people are around? OF COURSE IT WAS IN PUBLIC THATS HOW THE PHOTO GOT TAKEN IF SHE HAD BEEN PHOTOGRAPHED AT HOME IT WOULD HAVE BEEN BREAKING AND ENTERING
It’s summer, it’s hot, where do you want to be?? The deep sea babbyyyy We teamed up with Philly Spooky Guy Illustrator Sam Heimer to create a firefly squid shirt with a message: protect the ocean... OR ELSE!
You can get ‘em at SquidFacts.Net. The beautiful and enigmatic firefly squid arrives to shallow water off the West Coast of Japan in Spring, engages in a mating bonanza, and then leave the seas for the next generation. They are brightly bioluminescent, so **this shirt glows too***!!! The back of the shirts have a list of actions people can take to protect the ocean.
As with everything on the Squid Facts Shop, this shirt supports science education nonprofit Skype a Scientist
I picked up squid shirts today and the glow in the dark aspect is SO FUN

I still think pregnancy and childbirth should be degendered. we stopped talking about that and I need us to pick it back up pls
People in the notes arguing that this is about individual comfort and misgendering are missing a major piece of the puzzle, which is that programs made for mothers and pregnant women often by definition exclude anyone whose gender marker is not F on every form they’ve ever filled out.
Insurance agencies use M markers to deny coverage for pregnancy related healthcare. Doctors offices hang up on pregnant people trying to schedule pre- and post-natal appointments for themselves because their voices or their names aren’t feminine enough. And if they manage to make the appointment, they can get harassed out of the waiting rooms or face medical malpractice behind closed doors.
Charities and benefits made for pregnant or new mothers don’t accept pregnant/new fathers or non-gendered parents. The WIC fund is called women, infants, and children.
If we degender pregnancy and childbirth (and periods while we’re at it) we open up support for every trans and intersex person who needs it. We normalize pregnant people of other genders and sexes, leaving less room for harassment and malpractice and more accountability for those who decide to be assholes anyway.
It’s not a-fucking-bout comfort. It’s about safety and survival. This can literally be the difference between life and death for some people.
it’s hard to like a character that’s sexually repressed bc if you go into the ao3 tag they are always writing them wrong sexually
"transmascs are leveraging bioessentialism in order to access domestic violence shelters!" says the website that refuses to stop seeing the uterus as a Female Organ only possessed by Females that only a Female Supremacist would even talk about let alone care about. like at what point do you people stop talking a bond villain written by moffat and start interacting with other human beings like a human being.
