When i started building Secnajo(which is probably not going to stay the name once i get around to that again) i wanted the majority of words to be nouns, with verbs modified off of those; then i started making just verbs, and now i have basically the opposite- nouns made from mostly verbs. But i wanted to keep the idea alive, so i was thinking for some specific abstract concepts; like love, i'd use noun bases and build from there. It gives them a kind of sacredness, and requires special ways of talking about them. Ram- romantic love, love reserved for lovers Can- love of objects and ideas, do not use with people except dead people Elim- family love, friendship, a very strong affection. Ram envrah. I have a love. Ramogi envrah. I have a love of you. (I love you) You can also take the noun ramogi being a compound of love+you and make it a verb. Ramogirah. I love you. Or make the noun ram a verb(transitive) and add you as the object; triramgah. Basically it'll work just like everything else in my language... Like a crazy person designed it.

Yordjiveram ihl aëtvauneye. My hovercraft is full of eels. Hovercraft i am probably not keeping honestly, yordjiver= York-t-ci-fe-or earth-go-over-on-thing: a thing that goes over but on the earth.

Secnë

I am reworking the phonotactics of Secnë because, like I have done many times before, I needed a break and when I came back to it i hated everything. The new system is already proving to be complicated, but i'm trying to simplify my consonant clusters, and allow for more complex word joining. The compound words will have progressive consonant assimilation, articulation changes, and the vowels will be more fluid. Any concept that might have existed when i started to have a logical language has been slowly crushed by my insane desire to make it seem living.

I thought we should do a compound conlang variant of the team rocket entrance, but then I realized that "blasting off at the speed of light" would likely be a near-untranslatable term in both concultures and would likely devolve into a rambling dissection of what it means to "blast off" and what the "speed of light" would be.

Since i have been taking a bit of a break from Secnë and been focusing on my new job, D&D, and esperanto i wouldnt have even given that a lot of thought. I would have just said, heck yeah! Like, i could string those words together; but it would be gibberish. On a side note, i was watching a nature documentary two days ago and they had a bit of an interview with a native of the region and it made me want to start working again. So, maybe some nee stuff soon,
