OC Talk: Captain Secoiya
> Took on the task as 11th Captain after Yonagi’s passing
> VERY few people have faith in her, truly. Most will put on a facade in front of her but they don’t believe her capable to run such an important division because Yonagi was one of the best captains around. The only ones who are ride-or-die for Secoiya are her own squad members. She loves her division okay they’re important :C
> Multiple shinigami have offered to take over Secoiya’s position but she always turns them down or fights/puts them in their place (EX: with Nori, she had to be fought)
> Secoiya has failed missions in the past and she always takes a bad public hit because of it. She’s qualified for her work but she’s imperfect and due to the Gotei’s desperate situation she’s especially berated at for her mistakes simply because they can’t afford to fuck up.
> Others are often surprised to hear that she’s the 11th captain, stating that she doesn’t ‘look’ very scary or ‘look’ like someone whom would have such a placement. Secoiya finds this rather annoying, a typical response being, “I didn’t know the 11th captain was supposed to have a certain ‘look’! I just do my job!”
> She’s mentally a wreck because of all the responsibility she’s taken on but she meditates to combat this and it helps. She never shows that struggle(tm) tho
> After Hiroyuki she told herself she wouldn’t bother with relationships (at least) until the war was finished.
> She loves reading on Gotei history and fighting tactics used by past captains that were documented. She’s fun to talk to because she knows a lot of ‘stuff’.
> Secoiya and Nori have facial scars from a big fight they had in the Main Timeskip.
> Secoiya knew about Jewel and the significance of her zanpakuto early on in her arrival and it plays a part in her rising to lieutenant ranking and there is a reason why it’s Jewel and not Kakos. It was pretty big news when it was discovered that the 11th had two of these catalyst zanpakuto. Secoiya didn’t complain. She was the proud captain of a couple of knucklehead powerhouses.
