Should i get another cat?
I'm not sure where to ask, and I'm still gonna take my can to the vet, just in case but here me out.
My cat is 2 years old, when I got her she came from a household with lots of animals, and where I was living at the time, my roommate had 2 cats.
They all played together, running around, playing with toy, the got along really well.
But now, I've moved and while the new housemate also has a cat, and they get along fine, he's not an active playing cat.
They played together in the beginning, but it's been about 2 months and he doesnt want to play, at least not as often as she does.
He's also an outdoor cat, where my cat is not, so there are long stretches of time where my cat is the only one in the house.
I've noticed that for the last few weeks, my cat has been clinging to me more and more, whereas she used to be content just being in the same room with me, now she wants to be on my lap,
she waits by the door when I get home, is more vocal, gets bored with her toys (she has lots, and I've tried getting her new and different toys, but she still gets bored of them)
my roommate says she cries by the door when I go to work, and she tries to follow the other cat outside when he's let out, when she used to have no interest in the outside world.
I think shes lonely and needs a permanent companion.
