Gosh, I've missed college.
College is hard but it's feels so much more freeing than when I was working. I can fill my day going to different places, work at more of my own pace and can spend my time with the people I choose.
I'm really going to focus on appreciating this peace and enjoying my lessons. Gonna romanticize this journey best I can ❤️
I must admit, I am somewhat nervous to go back to uni after about 3 years. But I do believe I am well organised, and prepared - not only mentally. So... I also must admit, I am looking forward to this semester. It's not easy to type these words. But I am good, my life is going well, I will do well, it will be good. It won't be easy, and I don't have false expectations.
I can look forward to another first semester, and to next summer which I will hopefully get to spend in Japan again. And if I won't, I will be spending a few of its late weeks doing my exciting dream job for the first time! No matter the path ahead of me - in the end, it will be good. ☀️
I’d also like to say that I continuously didn’t go back to school for years and years even though I knew that’s what I wanted because I incorrectly believed that I wouldn’t be offered any student loans due to my already having a Bachelor’s Degree.
This is untrue and I was misinformed. After your first B.A. you are no longer eligible for Federal or State Grants, but you still can take Federal Student Loans.
Maybe there are other adults out there like myself holding back because they think they’d have to pay fully out of pocket, and I’m here to tell you the government would LOVE to loan you more money!

I’m going back to school!
I finally feel like I have a good plan for my life. I graduated in 2017 with a Bachelors in math and biology and no real plan. I starting working full time in an office and realized how much I loved it! I recently changed jobs and now work for a University and because of this, I can get an Associates degree in Business Management/Human Resources for FREE!! I’m so excited to be able to take classes in this field at no cost to me, it’s a great opportunity! Even though I already have a Bachelors, I think having this extra education will allow me to get my foot in the door in a Human Resources career.
