Depending, Kanda would not try to calm him down, but do exactly the opposite. Wanting to know where the other is capable of reaching, challenging him. Picking out a new name. When he was younger, Bookman would just give him whatever name fit and he'd go by Junior in between name changes. But as he gained a better understanding of languages, he came to spend more time choosing which name he'd go by. Deak is a Hungarian name meaning scholar or someone who can write in Latin - which he can. Lavi is a Hebrew name meaning Lion which appealed to his ego. What's better than being named for the king of the jungle? He knows it's not important since no one will remember his name and they hold no real meaning but he likes finding reason. With others, he's usually pretty good at identifying the country of origin and possible meanings because he's spent time reading through books on the subject. He remembers each of the name's he's used in the past but if asked he'll claim he doesn't remember his real his name. I did the math and over the span of nine years - from the time he met Bookman to the time he became Lavi he held 48 names. That means he changed his name roughly every 10 weeks.
