as a Ti aux, how does YOUR logic work? like confronted with a new situation for example, how do you process it? like how is it different from how a aux Fi user would approach it?
Ti aux according to Lenore Thomson author of Personality Type: An Owner’s Manual:
ESTPs and ENTPs
ESTPs and ENTPs are dominant Extraverted Perceivers. For these type, reality is immediate perceptual engagement. They use Introverted Thinking to assess or exploit a situation’s potential for action or excitement.
ESTPs are risk takers, quick to see opportunity and advantage.
ENTPs are animated by systemic possibility–the variables in a situation that can exert change on the whole.
Until life pushes them to slow down, ETPs won’t use Judgement to limit their intake of sensory information. They’ll use it to compete wherever they happen to be.
Fi aux according to Lenore Thomson author of Personality Type: An Owner’s Manual:
ESFPs and ENFPs
EFPs, as dominant Extraverted Perceivers, take outer reality for granted–as it happens to them. They like people, enjoy the unpredictable nature of direct experience, and have a tendency to live in the present. They use Introverted Feeling to find common human ground with people they’re meeting.
When Introverted Feeling is minimally developed, EFPs use it only to support their Extraverted motives, and they rely too much on outer experience for their self-image. The better EFPs develop Introverted Feeling, the more they recognize their power to support unconditional human values in those aspects of life that society has overlooked.
So first of all with a new experience, I experience it first through my Ne. It is not till after my Ne do I start to use Ti. My Ti is used to analyze my Ne experience of potentials. Ti moves me to strategic action and helps me judge my Ne that I am apart of. I see myself as part of the process that is forever ongoing and big picture. It is what motivates me to see patterns and connections constantly. Hence my MBTI tropes post.
An ENFP also uses Ne but the Ne potential they see is people focused. They see potential in people and like to nurture and encourage it. Look at Moana who I keep getting told isn’t an ENFP. She embodies a well developed Fi aux function. She sees the merit and strength in being an explorer in order to help her people, despite her society overlooking this option from their past. On top of this, she sees the potential of Maui and loves to nurture his strengths and potential on a personal one on one basis. She makes he decisions based on people, but from her own individual perspective that allows her to see things that her society Fe/Te misses.
Meanwhile, a character like Tyrion Lannister (Game of Thrones), an ENTP is focused on the system. “ENTPs are animated by systemic possibility–the variables in a situation that can exert change on the whole.” Tyrion sees all the possibilities in the world he lives in and part of what has not only kept him a live but made his a great hand to the King/Queen has been is ability to use Ti to see the variables in a situation that have the potential to alter the outcome. It isn’t a personal Judgement, but one of strategy.
