It's here: the epilogue of Secondhand Smoke!
An Archive of Our Own, a project of the Organization for Transformative Works
Please enjoy this beautiful piece that I commissioned for it from @valrad back in July (which I'm still absolutely gushing about on the inside btw):
Isn't it gorgeous? Val has been colouring a lot of the manga pages in a similar style, so absolutely check them out for that as well.
I'm sad that it's coming to an end, but to be honest, I'm also a kind of happy to move on. I started this fic when I was in the trenches of the first hyperfixation I'd had in years. I wrote around 60k words from mid to late March, to the 26th of April when we started the proofing/second edit of the fic. That was… insane. I have no idea how I didn't fail my class. I've lost count of how many times I've read it, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's well above 20 times, and at least three of those are out loud. What I mean to say is, I put in a lot of work, and that's not a realistic expectation going forward. Don't worry if I go radio silent for a while; I have other projects that I'm working on, but I also have to recover and nurture my writing passion a little bit. That being said, maybe I'll just go crazy and write another 60k words. You never know. Massive thanks to everyone who's been reading, it means the world to me <3
